Johnny Depp has been the source of some movie rumors lately. With the latest rumor surrounding any new Batman flick being that they’re tipping Angelina Jolie for the part of Catwoman, now Johhny Depp is being rumored to be taking the part of the riddler.
Do you think he can do it better than Jim Carey?
It’s being rumored that Johnny Depp is going to star as the Mad Hatter in a new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Tim Burton is set to direct Depp for the fourth time. Previous movies include: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands.
I think it will be very interesting. Johnny always picks great parts that he can bend to his will.

Apparently this is only good news for those who have seen the first Anchorman.

Speaking to ReelzChannel, Abrams said: “There is an idea that has come up that we’re exploring. So we’ll see. If it’s worth doing hopefully we’ll get the chance to do it.”
Abrams was the producer on Cloverfield and is currently directing the new Star Trek movie.
Lil’ Wayne is set to star in the Weinstein Co.’s sports movie, tentatively titled, Patriots, with Forest Whitaker and Bow Wow.
He is rumored to be playing a character named Lamont, who is a student from a New Orleans high school. He is said to be skeptical of the school’s new basketball team.
“Wayne went from a supporting role to a major role in the movie because he read so well,” Universal’s vice president of marketing Katina Bynum tells Billboard.com. “We’re all very excited and looking forward to it, especially since they reached out to him for this positive role as opposed to a stereotypical one.”
The movie is slated to be in theaters by November 2008.
